New facility secured ensuring the future of the group.
Mansfield Care is an established and highly regarded Scottish care home operator with 11 care homes in Edinburgh, Loanhead, the Scottish Borders, Kilmarnock and Troon. The business was established in 2005 and specialises in small care homes offering care of exceptional quality which is geared to residents’ needs and wishes.
CEO Andrew Hume added: “The Mansfield Care ethos is inspired by the kind of care we would wish for ourselves in later life – supportive, friendly, bright, positive, empathetic, respectful and homely. When you live with us, this is your home, and we are your community. So our wonderful staff are vital to your everyday experience, and are chosen for their caring, commitment and teamwork, as well as their professional excellence.
Each home has a dedicated home manager with a specialised background in nursing and dementia care. The staff are highly trained and skilled, with professional development a built-in part of their career with Mansfield Care. This helps to ensure commitment and continuity which benefits residents, care staff and management alike. Some staff have been with us for many years. We’re proud of our track record with the Care Inspectorate, and we’re even prouder of comments we receive from residents, families and visitors who appreciate our holistic, resident-led approach to caring for the elderly.
Our aspirations to expand this service, however, were facing resistance from our previous lender, so we reached out to Premier Commercial Finance Ltd, who have a great reputation for securing complex funding arrangements. Premier is based on the South Coast of England but this posed no problem to communications and the effectiveness of securing a fantastic facility for the future of the Group. Construction of our new home in Haddington, East Lothian, is now well under way.
