James and Kay Patel have successfully operated and grown a Group of homes in the West Midlands for over 25 years. During the banking crisis their then lender was holding back their plans for expansion and being deliberately obstructive. We speculated a great deal of our time preparing detailed proposals to present and demonstrate to new lenders that being supportive of the opportunities and removing these constraints, would allow the business to grow and even improve the bank’s security. We successfully refinanced the business, which has now gone from strength to strength. Funding for four extensions and for a new acquisition has been approved and the future of the Group looks increasingly rosy.
